At the first of the year, we determined it was time to end our 29 years at our Covedale address and begin to search for a down-sized property that would suit our needs. We immediately knew that our search would be served best by Dan Callahan and Cori Ray. Our many years of contact with them as people interested in contributing to the improvement of our neighborhood made our choice of realtors very easy. The team of Cori and Dan gave serious study to the needed upgrades of our property to best ensure a successful sale. Our home went on the market with freshly painted walls, new carpet in a bedroom and replaced window. Within a few weeks our property went under contract. It was at this juncture that the expertise and commitment of Dan and Cori really came to the for. The intended buyer was very anxious and asked for several documents to prove the house was viable for sale. Dan and Cori worked hard to assist us in giving the buyer the information she required. This extended effort on their part really impressed us. In the end, she backed away from the sale and we were back at square one. The wind was knocked out of our sails, but Dan and Cori continued to encourage and send out information that resulted in a successful and pleasing sale with very happy people on both sides of the table. To add to that help, Dan and Cori searched out with us suitable “next homes”. In short order, we were able to close on a lovely smaller home that suits our purposes and many of our dreams. Never in the months of working with this couple, did we ever question their commitment or their wise advice. We would recommend to anyone who is looking for a property talk to Dan Callahan and Cori Ray. Their sharp eyes, and their understanding of properties in Charlotte would make anyone comfortable with that team representing them as a buyer or seller or as we were both.
